Meetings every 3 months either in person or through teleconferencing
facilities (usually in Glasgow)
Disseminate minutes of above through e-mail distribution list
Two-way communication with FHCP Executive and BACP Healthcare Department
about Scottish issues pertinent to them and FHCP/BACP issues
relevant to Scottish NHS based counsellors
Identification of relevant
CPD activities relevant to Scottish NHS based counsellors and to
co-ordinate bi-annual conferences to meet
these CPD

The network welcomes contact from counsellors working in counselling and psychotherapy in the NHS in Scotland. You are welcome to attend the meetings either in person or by video-conferencing. Alternatively you can be kept informed by being added to the e-mail distribution list.
Joining
Membership of the network is open to anyone practising as a counsellor,
psychotherapist in the Scottish NHS who is either currently accredited
or is seeking accreditation with BACP, COSCA or other, e.g. UKCP. It
is not essential that members attend network meetings. However, we do
encourage members to join FHCP.

The forum came into existence to fulfil the need for a representative
body for Counsellors and Trainers in Northern Ireland. This need developed
from the DHSSPS Counselling Review and the forthcoming registration and
regulation for the Counselling Profession. It held it's first meeting
in February 2003. The NICF aims to:
Be a common voice for the Counselling communities in NI
Raise
public awareness of counselling in NI and Europe
Promote and develop
professional standards and research related to counselling
Raise awareness
of accreditation in NI
Be an influence in policy making at all levels
concerning counselling

The NICF was founded to promote quality standards within the Counselling
and Therapeutic communities. Our purpose is to effectively represent
the practical needs of the NI Counselling Profession; including lobbying,

We meet three times a year to enable sharing, learning and best practice in the field of psychotherapeutic work with clients who have neurological disorder/disabilities such as acquired brain injury, Huntington’s Chorea, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, strokes etc.
