About FHCP

The Faculty for Healthcare Counsellors and Psychotherapists (FHCP) is a subsidiary organisation of the BACP.

About FHCP

The Faculty for Healthcare Counsellors and Psychotherapists (FHCP) supports and promotes excellence in healthcare counselling and psychotherapy.

FHCP has approaching 2000 members and is the largest membership organisation specifically for healthcare counsellors and psychotherapists – most FHCP members work in the NHS in primary, secondary and/or palliative care. FHCP is a subsidiary organisation of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

About NHS counselling and psychotherapy

NHS counsellors help patients manage diagnosed conditions, addictions, and/or difficult life situations such as bereavement. The ultimate aim of NHS counselling is to effect improvements in patient’s health, wellbeing, and capacity to work.
